Pastor Michael Wilburn became the pastor of Lexington Baptist Church in the Spring of 2003. He now serves the church as Lead Pastor overseeing preaching and vision.

He graduated from Piedmont Baptist College (Winston-Salem, NC) in 2002 with a BA in Biblical Studies, and completed his MDiv. Degree at Central Baptist Theological Seminary (Virginia Beach, VA) in 2007. He is currently writting his thesis on biblical illumination in fullfillment of his ThM degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (Wake Forest, NC).

He and Sarah have been married 10 years, and have a four year old daughter, Chloe. Pastor Michael enjoys reading books, drinking fresh pressed coffee, following the Cincinnati Reds, playing cribbage, running, and connecting with friends on twitter.
