Glenn Kuhar ~ Worship Pastor

Pastor Glenn became the Worship Pastor at Lexington Baptist Church in the Fall of 2008. He is a graduate of Piedmont Baptist College with an A.A. in Bible and a B.S. in Music Education with a focus in vocal training. His goal is to learn the piano before he turns 30.

His responsibilities at LBC include leading the Adult Choir, Handbell Choir, Service planning, and assisting in various other ministries and administrative duties. His goal at Lexington Baptist Church is to maintain a biblically supported and balanced music program.  He desires people to worship in Spirit and in truth each time they meet together. (John 4:24)

Pastor Glenn recently purchased a home in Lexington last summer. He is also newly married to Mary Hale as of January 22, 2011. Mike Dorsey, Associate Pastor of Student Ministries

  

Hi, I’m Mike Dorsey

     Currently my nephew and myself run a land surveying office in Lexington, Va. We are all state certified Land Surveyors and enjoy a small, family run business. For the last 20 some years this has been my only job. In July of 07, the Lord blessed, by allowing me the privilege of becoming the Associate Pastor at Lexington Baptist Church. My focus at LBC is the Jr. High and Senior High kids, and some other things. I enjoy the excitement and energy of the kids; it is my fountain of youth. I am part time at the church and taking classes at Piedmont Baptist College on line, what a wonderful time to be alive. 

I have a wonderful wife (Marlene) that keeps me on track and three active daughters (Analeigh, Sarah, and Abby). We love God, family, music, sports and relaxation (movies,  home life, etc.).

Favorites
Sports: Football (Washington Redskins) and UVa. Athletics
Food: Lasagna and Pie (not only, and not necessarily in that order, and I also enjoy fruits and vegetables)
Books: Bible and (whatever Piedmont Baptist College tells me I need to read)
Music: I enjoy playing piano and guitar.
